En els últims vint anys els catalans han pogut conèixer menys d’una desena de llibres traduïts de l’eslovè. No sembla gaire, però agafant les coses pel cantó positiu aquests textos permeten presentar la literatura eslovena del segle XX d’una manera prou àmplia, començant pel poemari La barca d’or de Srečko Kosovel que Edicions del Mall va publicar l’any 1985.

Translation in its most basic form is a transfer (in a language) of one’s meaning into another language, retaining that same meaning in the new language. On another level it is (also) a transposition of the form and shape of the original into the forms of speech of the target language.
